The following Privacy Statement and Cookie Policy provides you with information on the collection, processing and use of your personal data when you visit our website (“Website”). 

This website is administered by Symbal Communication AB (“Symbal”). 

1. VISIT OUR WEBSITE 

You can visit ​​our website without giving any details about yourself. In this case, Symbal merely collects and stores access data that does not allow Symbal to draw conclusions about your person. We will evaluate this data without personal reference in order to improve the functions of the public area (see paragraphs 3 and 4 of this document). 

Personal data will only be collected by Symbal in the public area of ​​the website, as long as you voluntarily communicate this in the context of your use of this website, for example, if you contact us and make a request for more information about our offers or if you wish to find out more about specific events. In this case, we will only use your data to process your request requested by you. The data is not used for any other purpose and is only passed on to our coworkers in order to respond to your requests. 

2. USE OF THE CONTACT FORMS 

You can communicate with Symbal at any time via our contact forms. In this case, certain information on the following points is necessary (mandatory): 

  • Type and subject of the request (in most cases pre-populated by the form itself). 
  • Your message 
  • Your email address 
  • Your name 

This information is required to process your request. You can also provide other voluntary personal information. Your data may be used to send invitations to upcoming events or sales related campaigns.   

3. COOKIES 

This website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit our website. 

The use of cookies is widely accepted and necessary to enable you to use certain functionalities and services on our website. We also use cookies to collect purely statistical information for the purpose of web analysis; this helps us to improve our website and make it more attractive (see paragraph 4 of this document).

4. GOOGLE ANALYTICS 

Symbal uses a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”) on the Google Analytics website. Google Analytics uses cookies. These are text files that are stored on your device and allow you to analyse the use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually forwarded to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, since this website has implemented the IP anonymisation feature provided by Google, your IP address will be abbreviated by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other states parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. Google uses this information on behalf of Symbal to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities for Symbal, and to provide other services related to the use of the website and the Internet against Symbal. If necessary, Google will also pass this information on to third parties as far as this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. The IP address transmitted by your browser under Google Analytics will in no case be combined with other data from Google. You can prevent cookies from being saved by setting your browser software accordingly. In this case, however, you can not use all the functions of the HFF web pages in full

5. DATA SECURITY 

Symbal has taken reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data against unauthorised access, misuse, unauthorised sharing, alteration, loss and destruction. Your personal data will be stored and processed within the European Union. Personal data will only be made available by Symbal to those employees who must be aware of them for providing our website and providing the desired services and information. 

However, you should also ensure that you take preventive steps to protect your personal information, in particular by keeping any potential login information secret and monitoring and controlling access to your computer. 

6. ADVANCEMENT OF YOUR DATA 

Your personal data may only be transferred to a third party in order to provide a service or support on behalf of Symbal – or if authorities demand to access your data. This may be the case, for example, if we are obliged to cooperate with the security authorities in connection with legal investigations. 

As mentioned above we may involve external technical service providers who help us operate our website and / or provide the functionality and services that are offered to you. These service providers are exclusively acting on our behalf and are obliged to take all necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data in accordance with data protection requirements. 

If disclosure of your data to third parties (e.g regulatory parties) is necessary, we will provide you with further information on the intended use in connection with the collection, processing and / or use – unless this is legally not permitted or required in this case.

In accordance with the general data protection regulations, you are always entitled to information about the data stored by Symbal about you, as well as a right to rectify, block and delete this data. You may also object to the use of your data by Symbal for legitimate reasons.
