Scope: Communication, training and practical tools to drive action to reduce the climate impact of waste.
Challenge
The company had ambitious goals for reducing the amount of waste they produced and boosting recycling rates. But waste handling is complicated, especially for an international company. There are many types of waste and each has different handling options – and they differ between countries.
They needed to motivate business leaders around the world to learn how to improve waste handling and make it easy for them to take the right actions.
Solution
To grasp attention, we create a series of films about specific waste topics that brought to life the business benefits of tackling waste. We made it a point to use a visual presentation that was fun and engaging to flip expectations that waste is a heavy, serious subject.
Since different leaders had different priorities, we created a modular learning solution so leaders could focus on the waste topics relevant to them. All learning was focused on quickly getting to practical action.
To help them take action, we also created resources like face-to-face workshop sessions, guides that laid out how to get started on different actions, and case stories that showed the real-life wins of their colleagues.
